A teenager who attacked two young girls - kicking one in the head - before stealing their mobile phones, has been jailed.

Scam artists steal woman's bankcard - Wigan
Scam artists stole a woman's bankcard and used it to fraudulently withdraw cash.
It happened at an Asda store on Edge Green Lane in Golborne at about 1pm on 14 November 2009.

Wigan’s Council Tax rise kept to 1.25 per cent
Councillors in Wigan Borough last night voted 41 to 22 to support the council’s 2010-11 budget.

Man arrested in Wigan
At 10pm on Monday 1 March 2010, there was a disturbance between two men on Ormskirk Road, Pemberton.
At around 11pm, police were called to Wigan Royal Infirmary after a 52-year-old man arrived in critical condition.
