Kitt Green for Go: roadworks scheme complete
Council highways engineers have announced that Kitt Green Road is now open again to traffic.
The road was closed three weeks ago for repairs and resurfacing, which necessitated local diversions and disruption to bus services.

Boy attacked in unprovoked attack
A 16-year-old boy was knocked unconscious during an unprovoked attack in a Wigan park.
The boy was with two girls, lying on grass in Mesnes Park, when three men walked over and one of them kicked him in the face.
He was knocked out for a short time and was treated for minor facial injuries.

Wigan Borough’s best ever set of GCSE results have just been announced with continued improvements in standards across the borough’s schools.

Police have arrested two people in raids across Wigan as part of an operation to crack a major drug dealing gang.
Warrants were executed at five addresses in Golborne and Platt Bridge as part of Operation Delmas.
