Comments Found the site googling for any info about my Dad, William (Bill) Mawdsley. Dad is now 85 and lives in Derbyshire now but grew up in Bickershaw and lived at 48 Victoria Terrace. Both my Dad, his father, Jem (James) Mawdsley and his brother John played for Abram or Bickershaw Colliery Band. My grandmother Hannah. I think Hannah's maiden name was Platt and she came from Aspull Moor I think. Any info and/or memories would be much appreciated.

Comments I want to know how many people who visit this wonderful site went to Wigan Casino during 1974 to 1981 before I left for Aus, trying to catch up with names who you forget and yet good freinds during this period when Wigan was recognised the no 1 night club/all nighter in the country.
