My younger brothers African grey escaped yesterday.
It was out from midday and all night, a tree surgeon has managed to scare it out of the tree it was stuck in, but its flown away towards the three sisters area. So it could end up anywhere, Bryn, Landgate , anywhere. He is tame but very frightened, he doesn't climb very well as he has very little grip due to a damaged beak. If you see him can you pls report it to http://www.parrot-rescue.org.uk/ , and tell them its about the call from Marie Spiers in Wigan who called to report it missing. She has my number.
He will likely come to you for food as he hasn't eaten . Can you keep your eyes peeled, he is a fat grey large bird with a red tail. His name is wonky , and he will answer to it...........usually with an expletive .
Thanks for looking.

The vet on Bryn Road in Bryn also has my number and the wardens at the 3 sisters, please keep an eye out for him when you walk your dogs, he could be anywhere but chances are he will stay local as he's not used to flying. I haven't spotted him over there yet , am just about to make some posters up, he was last seen around the treeline nr the greenhill at the three sisters. From there he has a clear view of ashton, stubshaw, bryn, landgate bamfurlong, its possible he will head for houses when he gets hungry enough. So eyes peeled plsssssssssssssssss .
Fat grey bird, with a red tail!
Thanks for bumping this, just go back from three sisters cos its dark so likely he'll roost for the night.
Will go back up in the morning, have put posters up there and around a few shops and vets will throw more around tomorrow.
Both the vets at Bryn have our details if anyone spots him.
Hes been seen again in Bamfurlong this morning, but he flew away but he could be reached again, he was in a tree around the winstanley road area. So please keep your eyes open.
